About
My name is Lauren and I created this blog to vent and share. I wanted to write things down because this year my life is changing a lot and I want to be able to look back at everything I went through. I got married last year and just got out of basic training and tech school for the US Air Force. My marriage is struggling even though it’s still new and I have no idea where it will end up but I am writing it all down here (and just so everyone knows he knows I am writing this and can and sometimes does read it all himself, I intend to be open with him and it actually starts discussions between us about things that need to be said). I am just starting a new life in an entirely new place and it is going to be an interesting adventure.

Hi Lauren,
I noticed that you’re using an image hosted at my company’s web site (http://www.riverace.com/images/puzzle_pieces.jpg). That image is licensed from a third party and you may not use it without licensing it yourself. Please do one of the following immediately:
- Stop using the image
- License it yourself from http://www.fotolia.com
That said, I also read through some of your blog posts. I have some advice and some encouragement for you. First, be careful about what you’re posting online. This stuff lives online forever and it may cause more problems than it’s worth down the road. Also, a book you may find useful is “Boundaries in Marriage” by Henry Cloud and John Townsend. Also, if you like movies, “Fireproof” is a good one.
I’ve been married 28 years, but for a minute there I thought your posts were written by my wife
Your struggles sound similar to ours. It can get better – and I think you have a good approach and mindset. As someone who could probably see alot of myself in your husband, he’s probably immature but I eventually got with the program, so to speak, and so can he. Showing respect for him while commanding respect for yourself is a big key. Hang in there.
